Scales are Evil

I'm not happy! The scale is evil; very, very evil. Earlier in the week it teased me and said "Wow, you are having an awesome week, I am going to show a 9lb loss". I skipped the movie popcorn, which is very difficult for me, almost impossible and I have a 2lb gain this week. WTF? It was my perfect week on paper and the scale hates me. It is the work of the devil! I hate it, I hate it, I hate it. OK, my tantrum is over. It will be gone next week, so not going to stress about it too much.

I am going to the doc today. For the past month or so, I am constantly having to use the bathroom. It has gotten so bad, that I get up 5-6x a night (you would think I would be burning a crapload more of calories for as often as I have to go). I never had to get up in the middle of the night before to use the bathroom. It's ridiculous. I am getting crabby because, obviously I am not getting good sleep. I don't know what is wrong...whether it's me drinking tea (did that before), bladder infection that I am not aware of, diabetes (YIKES) or my Lupus has finally gotten a hold of my kidneys..so many worries.

So wish me luck!

Aw, that really stinks. I hope that it's not some of the things you mentioned. Fingers crossed that it's just some fluke of the scale.

I'm down 1 pound but I'm so BORED with this weight thing. I've decided to take my focus off of it for a bit and enjoy life without worrying about those Tuesday check-ins.

Come On! How can this be???? Are you up the 9 it showed you were down + 2? Is the scale still alive? In one piece?
Gees, Bonnie, that's just crazy. Maybe it's related to what's causing all the bathroom trips?
Damn, I feel for ya :0(
Hopefully next week the evil scale shows a sunnier side.

Sometimes it takes the scale a few days to catch up...or so I suspect, because mine does some weird things to me sometimes. lol. I don't trust scales in general, unless its the one at the doctor, for some reason. Don't worry about that part too much.

Good luck on your visit to the doctor! I'm hoping for the best for you.

Good luck at the doc. And don't worry about that scale thing - sometimes it's just water weight...

Sorry the scales aren't showing what they should. I would shoot mine to. Keep us up on your Dr's visit. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Dang, that thing's bouncing around like crazy! Stoopid scale. Maybe the doc can shed some light on it. Good luck! And hang in there!

I'm wishing you tons of luck.. Sending big hugs your way. I really hope it goes well for you.

I didn't weigh in again this week. Honestly, my scale has been buried under a pile of clothes, and I'm more focused on my half training than anything. Oh, and my wonderful man! lol

About the scale, is it old? You may need a new one. If yours is going through weigh swings like that, it might, just might be the scale. :)

As far as the wee issue: Since hitting my late 30's, no sleeping through the night. I get up once, minimum, sometimes 2 to whiz. It has to be disrupting to sleep at 2, so I imagine 4 and 5 is a killer! Hope it's not something very serious (diabetes, lupus).

Have you been thirsty, very thirsty? That might be diabetes, sadly. Hope not.

But do consider a scale upgrade. The springs may be shot.

Best of luck with the doc,
The P

aw dont worry! nothing you did was in vain and trust me, it DOES make a differnece that you skipped on the popcorn and bumped up other healthy behaviors. the scale isnt everything so dont feel that anything you did doesnt matter. it does!
